Joining Detroit,
Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario, the Ambassador Bridge is easily accessible
from all major Detroit expressways.
- From
I-94 eastbound, take 1-96 south, exit 213B. Follow the "Bridge
to Canada" signs which lead to I-75 south. Take 1-75
south to the "Bridge to Canada/Porter Street" exit
which leads you directly to the entrance to the Bridge.
- From
1-94 westbound, take I-75 south, exit 216A. Follow I-75 to
the "Bridge to Canada/Porter Street" exit which
leads you directly to the entrance to the Bridge.
- From
1-96 eastbound, take 1-75 south, heading towards Toledo, to
the "Bridge Canada/Porter Street" exit. Turn left
onto Porter Street and proceed to the stoplight. Turn right
onto the Bridge plaza.

- From 1-75 southbound,
also known,as the Fisher Freeway, take the "Bridge to Canada/Porter
Street" exit, number 47B, to Porter Street. Turn left onto Porter
and turn right at the stoplight which leads you to the Bridge plaza.
- From I-75 northbound,
take exit 47B "Bridge to Canada/Lafayette Boulevard." As
soon as you exit off I-75, look for the "Bridge to Canada"
ramp immediately to your right that leads you onto the Bridge.
- From the Lodge
Freeway (USIO) southbound, take 1-75 southbound to the "Bridge
to Canada/Porter Street" exit which will take you directly to
the Ambassador Bridge plaza.

- In Canada,
there are two convenient routes to the Ambassador Bridge.
Highway 401 directly connects to Highway 3, which turns into
Huron Church Road. Huron Church Road, a six-lane thoroughfare,
directly connects to the Ambassador Bridge.
- From
downtown Windsor, take Wyandotte Street west, which directly
connects to our expanded plaza entrance to the Ambassador
Bridge.
