About Transponder

Note: You must enroll in the E.T.C (Electronic Toll Collection) to receive a Transponder.

The Ambassador Bridge and the Federal Inspection Services of the United States is proud to announce an electronic clearance system designed to increase speed and convenience for commuter traffic at the Ambassador Bridge. Our goal ultimately is to allow seamless crossing of the border by safe, legal and compliant traffic.

The project includes:

• Dedicated Commputer Lane for entrance into the United States
• Electronic Toll Collection

All the above programs will use a common electronic device called a TRANSPONDER. This one device, when attached to an automobile, will allow for fast and efficient passage on all three systems.
